FreakoutAI Wins Digital StartUp of the Year at the UK StartUp Awards SouthWest

We’re excited to share that FreakoutAI has been named Digital Startup of the Year (South West) at the UK StartUp Awards 2026. The award recognises some of the most innovative and high-growth startups across the United Kingdom, with more than 2,000 businesses applying across 22 categories this year. (startupawards.uk)

When we started FreakoutAI, the goal was simple: make immersive digital experiences accessible to every business.

Today, most online shopping experiences are still built around static pages, images and videos. We believed there was a better way. A way for customers to explore products, spaces and brands through interactive 3D environments, powered by AI and accessible directly from a web browser.

Over the past year we’ve launched our Immersive Showroom platform, expanded our AI-powered commerce tools, released our iOS 3D scanning application, and worked with businesses exploring what the next generation of online experiences can look like.

Winning Digital StartUp of the Year is an important milestone for our team. Not because it marks the finish line, but because it reinforces that the industry is beginning to recognise the potential of immersive commerce and agentic AI as a new category of digital experience.

Building a startup is rarely a straight line. There are countless late nights, difficult decisions, technical challenges and moments where progress feels slower than you’d like. Awards don’t change that reality, but they do provide a valuable opportunity to pause and reflect on how far a team has come.
