Your Room Is Now Part of the Workflow

A few weeks ago, we released the first version of the FreakoutAI iOS Scanner — a simple experiment exploring room capture and object scanning using modern iPhone spatial APIs.

The goal was never just scanning.

We wanted to better understand how spatial data, room reconstruction, and real-world environments could become part of the creative workflow behind immersive commerce and scene generation.

Today, we’re releasing the second update.

What’s New

The update focuses on improving the transition between capture and creation.

You can now:

Sign in to your FreakoutAI account directly from the app
Sync captured room scans to the platform
Upload the generated 3D object models into your workspace
Continue working with captured scenes inside the immersive editor

From Scan to Scene

Place your uploaded models in your scenes

The interesting part for us isn’t just generating 3D scans.

It’s exploring how real-world spaces can become usable input for immersive scenes and spatial workflows.

Instead of treating a room as simple reference material, the captured layout and spatial data can become part of the editing and generation process itself.

Walls, openings, furniture placement, and room structure can all feed into immersive environments and future AI-assisted scene creation workflows.

This is still early for us, but the direction is becoming clearer:
connecting physical spaces directly into editable 3D environments and immersive commerce experiences.

The scanner is available now on iOS.

Built on Apple Spatial APIs

The scanner is built using ARKit, RealityKit, RoomPlan, and Apple’s LiDAR-enabled spatial capture systems.

Modern phones are quietly becoming extremely capable spatial computing devices, and this project has been an opportunity for us to explore how those capabilities can integrate into real production workflows rather than remaining isolated tech demos.
